datacentres & network infrastructure

Our state-of-the-art datacentres in London Docklands are built to the highest industry standards and are among the most secure and reliable in the UK. Our primary datacentre is located at TelecityGroup Sovereign House, with a secondary facility at Harbour Exchange and a further Disaster Recovery site at Powergate. With redundant systems for connectivity, power, air conditioning and fire suppression, you can rest assured that your IT infrastructure is in safe hands.

network connectivity

We operate our own autonomous network with multiple connections to the best Tier-1 providers including AboveNet and Level3. This ensures high-speed, high-capacity, resilient connections to the UK and the rest of the world. As one of the few remaining hosting providers based in London Docklands, our unique location ensures the lowest latency connection to the UK's main peering points located in the area.

redundant power

Our datacentres have access to redundant, high-capacity power supplies to ensure there is no disruption to service in the event of a power failure. Sovereign House has two diverse power feeds from separate substations, backed-up by six Rotary Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) and a further backup diesel generator.

premium facilities

Controlled air-conditioning with two independent chilled water systems ensure stable temperature and humidity, whilst the use of hot and cold aisles provide maximum cooling. For fire detection and suppression we use Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) and MIST suppression systems to protect your most critical assets.

maximum security

Security at the facilities is paramount with CCTV and 24 hour video recording and surveillance. Retina scanning, biometric airlock, proximity access card and human verification of identity are all required to gain access to the facility.

accreditations

Sovereign House has achieved the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) accreditation for organisations processing, storing or transmitting cardholder information. All of our datacentres conform to the ISO 27001 standard for Information Security Management, ISO 9001 for business Quality Management and ISO 14001 for Environmental Management. In addition they are audited by the Centre for the Protection for Critical National Infrastructure (CPNI).
